In limit holdem even if you are willing to bet more than a normal super-aggressively it is not going to be possible for you to be doing that, you are supposed to play within the set high and low limits.  It is for this reason bluffing in limit holdem is going to be lot difficult than on other betting variants.  In cases you want to cut competition and play the second best hand, you might not be able to bluff and have your competitors out.  There will be many players that will be betting in limit holdem based on the yet to come kind of hands!

 

There are going to be just 4 rounds of play as usual and you need to focus to making it to the pot within the provided limit of betting.  One thing you can do in terms of bluffing in limit holdem is by folding a lot of useless hands and play tight.  When you are doing this in a table of same opponents, when you are suddenly playing without folding they assume that you are playing with a reason.  You might be playing with a reason or you might not be playing with a very strong hand, perhaps you have tried to play with the second best hand.  In this case, since you have the advantage of people believing that you are playing strong you can make the raise and re-raises.

Though in limit holdem you might not be able to bet too high, you can still bet by making raises and re-raise where you might land up being at the advantage of their beliefs that you are playing a solid hand, this is due to the table image you have developed over time. Regardless of what kind of bet limit you are playing you need to concentrate on cutting out competition from others as quickly as possible.

When you have bluffed your second best hand in limit holdem and have finally landed up in not improving your hand you might consider to fold rather than go ahead. Never hesitate to fold.  Do not play limit holdem under the influence of momentum, when things are going out of control there is nothing that you can do by staying in the game, just quit.  Muck your hands in cases you have bluffed, if you do not muck you give a clue about the kind of hands you will be playing to the other players out there.
