Pot Limit Holdem With A Top Set Of Hands PDF Print E-mail
In pot limit holdem sometimes one might have flopped something really nice with a top set of hands, but you might be apprehensive about if one of the players you are playing against could possibly have a straight draw or flush and rarely royal flush. So, you will have to bet to get such players out.

In pot limit holdem consider the pot odds and if someone is make a calling on you they might probably have a flush or straight draw and they might not fold. If they are drawing on a flush on the river they will not fold either.  In situations where your doubts are clarified, you need to better fold; rather than feeling unlucky and helpless in the end.

In a game where the pot limit holdem situation with a position in the table that lets the players to bet different amounts then you can afford, there are times where you can very well push the player counting on the flush and straight draw too hard so that they will have to fold. Even in cases where they call they are not getting the real right odds to call you because your bet seems dangerous to them. You have to knock out the players in pot limit game unlike in no limit games where there is a lot of money a player makes comes from creating bets and presenting odds to any player to call with a straight or flush draw yet to some. However, the poker odds should be much in your favor even in no limit games for you to let the opponent call. Therefore, in any game of pot limit holdem you need to give the rope to hang themselves quite earlier than to risk in the later rounds where they might improve on a draw.

Often in pot limit holdem we often tend to just believe that a player is in a flush draw; however, since this is one of the common draw that one would try to be on and in many cases a likely draw to succeed you must not neglect this consideration.  Consider the probabilities of that working out.  In some case the board might hit flush or straight draw watch for the player that is playing the board if any, so that you do not miss out on your calculation.  By all means if the flop is not turning better for a flush or straight the chance of fulfilling the draws is worse.
